Post Production Services

Our post production suite utilizes a variety of professional grade audio equipment from Avid's Pro Tools and others. We maintain a large music and sound effects collection, and have relationships with a variety of on-line resources to povide the perfect components to enhance your production.

At times, production segments will need to be recorded on-location. Our selection of professional grade audio equipment from Sennheiser, Shure, Digidesign, Sony, Behringer, Hafler and others, insure's that you'll get the right tools for the job.

rofessional quality wired and wireless Lavalier, table and stand microphones, Shure AMS microphone systems, studio quality mixing consoles, digital recorders and feedback controllers.

Who We Are

Since 1970, Gerald Kornbluth has been a leader and innovator in the field of audio production, post production and communications, and is the owner of and driving force behind A&J Recording Studios, a full service audio recording facility that was, until recently located in New York City. A&J specializes in location recording and in audio production for Information-by-Telephone systems, radio, television, film, walking, driving, and museum tours, CD-ROM’s, the web, and corporate communications.

Mr. Kornbluth has created award winning programs, music scores and audio illusions for dramatic radio, live theater, radio and TV commercials, daytime TV dramas, film and videos. A&J has serviced a varied client roster including such organizations as Florentine Films (“Jazz”, “The Civil War,” “Baseball” and “The West” on PBS), The Library of Congress, Columbia House, Movado Watch, The Fashion Group, Cotton Incorporated, and Konica Minolta Corporation, among others.

A&J has created museum tours for many institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Hirschhorn Museum, and The Barnum Museum, as well as walking tours of cities from Berlin to San Francisco. They have also produced a series of self guided driving tours for the National Wildlife Refuge system including 2 in Florida, one for the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanabel Island, and the other for The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge near the Kennedy Space Center.

A&J has been responsible for developing audio archives of the meetings and presentations of organizations including the Audio Engineering Society, New York Women in Film and Television, and the Screen Actors Guild.

In Audiotex services, the field of interactive audio for the Information-by-Telephone industry, A&J is a one stop production facility offering expert services ranging from initial project design to script development and testing. Services include professional voice-over talent casting, recording, editing, music and sound effects production and digitizing as well as application programming and interactive Information-by-Telephone systems.

Dialogic Corporation, the world’s leading provider of PC based voice processing hardware (now owned by Intel), chose A&J as a “preferred provider” of audio production and digitizing services for their customers. Major projects have included over 2,000 digitized voice segments in multiple languages for the Brooklyn Union Gas Company/IBM Customer Service project, over 14,000 digitized voice segments for the Warner Brothers Bugs Bunny Birthday hotline and over 30,000 segments for the ATT Invest-Alert system.

In addition to the groundbreaking contributions to the Information-by-Telephone field, A&J has has created award winning programs, music scores and audio illusions for dramatic radio, live theater, radio and TV commercials, daytime TV dramas, films and videos. A&J's varied client roster includes such organizations as Ken Burns' Florentine Films (The Civil War and Baseball Series on PBS), Showtime, Columbia House, The Fashion Group, Cotton Incorporated, Syms Clothing and Konica Minolta Corporation, among others.

Mr. Kornbluth has designed and implemented communications systems for the ABC Television Network, where he created delivery systems for the insertion of music into the “live” daytime TV dramas, “Ryan's Hope,” “All My Children” and “One Life To Live”. He has designed and fabricated walking tour equipment for the Musical Instrument department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He has also designed and installed broadcast communications centers for EF Hutton and PaineWebber, and video production facilities for Smith Barney. Locally, A&J has worked with organizations including the Norton Museum of Art and Century Village.
